Wing Commander Digital Audio Rip Kit by pahandav

These batch files are designed to automatically rip the digital music tracks from the Wing Commander games.

Required Programs:

ffmpeg: http://www.ffmpeg.org/

ripper6: http://malvineous.github.io/ripper6/

Game Audio Player: just do a google search, it's available from multiple places

Ideally, you should put ffmpeg.exe and ripper6.exe in a directory that's in your environment path, otherwise, be sure to copy those files to the directories you have the files you'll be ripping from.

Wing Commander 1 and 2 Kilrathi Saga:

Copy the .STR files from the STREAMS directory of WC1 or WC2 into a directory with the batch file and ffmpeg. Run the batch file.

Naming and numbering is based on the DOS MT-32 MIDI files.

Wing Commander 3 Kilrathi Saga:

Copy the WC3MUSIC.TRE file from CDs 2 through 5, renaming them to WC3MUSIC1.TRE, WC3MUSIC2.TRE, WC3MUSIC3.TRE, and WC3MUSIC4.TRE in order. Make sure ripper6 and ffmpeg are in the same directory. Run the batch file.

I tried to name these based on the names I had for the DOS version, but I couldn't identify some of the tracks.

Wing Commander 4:

Copy all four MUSIC.TRE files into a directory with ripper6. Run the batch file.

The naming is based on internal game data.

Wing Commander Prophecy:

Open Game Audio Player, and scan the MUSIC.TRE from Prophecy. Rename the tracks 1 to 14 in order (do not add a zero before tracks 1 - 9). Select all the tracks and convert them to PCM wave files. Make sure ffmpeg is in the directory with the extracted wav files and run the batch file.

I tried to name these with the name list from wedge009's site, but I'm not totally sure about some of the names.
