I've been trying to play through WCP recently and it's been running beautifully up until now. Unfortunately, now I'm getting 2 very annoying problems that hopefully you guys can help me with. 1st problem: It's been a long while since I've played so bear with me with my description of...

I originally started by playing around with dosbox. After fighting with it for about a day, I finally got it to work more or less correctly. The game seems to run just fine, however I can't seem to get a decent enough frameskip/cpu cycle balance to allow me to play without skipping sound and...

Moslo seems to be working pretty well, thanks for the advice. The only trouble I have now (aside from wc1 still being too fast) is the annoying stuttering that moslo seems to be causing. The controls do not feel very smooth at all. Its not that big of a deal, but definately noticable...

Hello all, I just spent the last 3 hours resurrecting an old pentium 133 dos based system for the sole purpose of playing wc 1 and 2. Oh what a joy it was to hear that music once again. Its been at least 5 years since I've been able to properly play these games and I cannot wait to get...

In WC1-IV, I was always "Buzz" In Prophecy and all others, it was "Harold"

Hello! Welcome! I certainly hope that you will enjoy the CIC Chat Zone as much as I do.:)

I always thought Spirit's death was pretty incredable...but then again there were many moments from WC2. From Spirit's death to the sabotage on the flight deck, only to find that Jazz was behind it. .....oh man, that sure was intense... I also must say that WC3 & 4's intros were...

I gotta go with the Morningstar. Anything with a tatical nuke cant be bad:D

hehehe, you didnt by any chance watch NOVA the other day did you? :D

well, not quite... in the case of faster than light travel, you are not taking away from one side of the equation or another, the variable (t) is changing. I will use your example... I called you, you are 10 miles away and I will be traveling exactly the speed of light. v=d/t right...

I feel that the Kilrathi are by far the most interesting species in the series. Although I enjoy flying against them, I would much rather prefer to fly for them...

Yeah, jumping during missions was a lot of fun. It added a feeling of independance and broke up the normal routine of going out, hitting nav points, blasting cats and coming home... Definately one of the more innovative aspects of WC in my opinion.

According to Einstein's special theory of relativity, the faster an object travels, the slower time will pass for it. This has been proven many many times always with the same result. The first such time was sometime in the 50s I believe: Physicists synchronized two atmoic clocks. One...
