Enyo. I've got half a script for it already...

Working with the letter "I" in the font is a tricky prospect, as I discovered when I was working on the cover of the RPG back in 2013. Some folks can get a solid looking character (as with "Promised Land" in the pics and indeed with the words "Wing Commander" themselves), but the font face...

Ramscoops, I think. They mention them in some of the novels IIRC.

Fun fact - when I was in juco, we had a Video Toaster 4000 with early Lightwave 3D - the same system they used to make the graphics for B5. I went off to OU a few years later. Bigger college but they only had the VT 2000...

Yeah, Serpentine is the one they use for credits and so forth...I knew that. Even used it on occasion.

I was thinking specifically about the usage of the STOP font in the B5 season 1 finale, right before President Santiago is killed. They have the absolute lamest ball drop ever in the bar to celebrate the New Year (it's a single streamer that goes up and says "Happy New Year", printed in STOP.)...

I recall them using it on Babylon 5 a time or two as well. Wing Commander appears to be unique in its treatment of the letter "I"; most other places it comes out lowercase, including Galactica. I've heard that they used the pipe character instead - which is what I did when I was making the cover...

Once again they seem to have left out Sir Not Appearing in This Picture...

(Forget it - I've said that same thing already myself...)

Works for me.

I'm assuming you're talking about connections that haven't been used for other Trek films, right? My first thought was the inclusion of John Schuck and David Warner in Trek IV and V respectively, but I'm pretty sure that connection was used for other Trek films...

I was going to say - IIRC, I'm pretty sure Bear was flying a Rapier right up until he suddenly became Tarawa's captain... Admittedly, it's been a minute since the last time I read End Run, but I'm like 90% sure that's right.

That makes more sense, though why his office is apparently in the campus library becomes another matter. I'd have to look at the historical layout of the Oxford campus and compare it to what we see in game, I think.

As someone who does catalog work in an American university research library and repository of federal/state government documents, I have to wonder where Masterson comes up with enough funds to pay privateers a competitive wage in the tens of thousands of credits (at the time I penned WCRPG, I...

So, the meta of the music translations I occasionally do aside, I hesitate to put this one out there out of fear that it would be considered disrespectful both to the artist and to the people he commemorates in the song. The fiftieth anniversary of the original event - the mysterious loss of SS...
