I believe others have had some luck in that direction. I've never tried it.

Yup, D3D 9.

Both locations ought to be kept up-to-date whenever I make any changes. The GitHub version is trimmed down slightly, but is intended to have the same information. The forum thread is where I did all the original announcements, and that post will absolutely be updated any time I make a change...

On GitHub, yes, accidentally. I've just updated the readme there. The instructions on the CIC forum post were better. Glad you got it working! That sounds like a feature worth exploring, assuming I manage to find the time to get back to this. There's currently no configurable game option...

If you have a gamepad, that could also be causing the issue. Otherwise, try alt-tabbing out of the game and back in; maybe that will help?

Hey there! Thanks for reaching out to me; it looks like I need to clarify this in the instructions. The Wing2.exe file comes from the Kilrathi Saga CD, where it is named WC2.EXE. This is the game executable for Wing Commander 2. The wcksso12.zip file also has a wc2.exe, but this is a...

Apologies for the late reply. I hadn't realized how long it had been since I last checked in! I'm afraid I don't have anything new to report; I haven't done any meaningful work on wcdx since last year, and I have other commitments that still need to take priority. If there's an experienced...

I believe this is a known issue; see @FekLeyrTarg's post above. Thanks for the report! That will be difficult to address unless I can see it happen. Can you consistently reproduce the crash?

Nothing to report at this time, sorry; I've been swamped with other work. That's pretty compelling! I'd very much like to do this, but it will require a bit of research. I could probably come up with a patcher to add the new music to the stream file, but the music selections are driven by the...

Hi, sorry for the late reply. These are the commands you should type: wcpatch Wing1.exe Wing1_wcdx.exe This tells wcpatch to read the file Wing1.exe (the unpatched executable shipped by Origin) and write out the patched version as Wing1_wcdx.exe. You could choose any name you like for the...

Wcdx 2.2.1 is now released! Grab it here. Cockpit damage is finally here! Now you, too, can watch your cockpit come alive as it disintegrates around you! Is WC2 too much of a cakewalk? Try it without your radar! Of course, cockpit damage would never be complete if it didn't cause your...

That's an interesting approach, but I'm guessing that it won't fix the timings for the cutscenes. I'd expect to still see ghost cockpits and other similar artifacts.

Welcome to the forums! Yup; that was always a goal, but I didn't have an appropriate early machine for testing. @Zaljerem was able to confirm that an updated build will work on earlier processors.

Yup, that's another good one!

Well, there are a few options here: I really would like to get cockpit damage fixed, as that's really the final missing feature for WC1. I also need to go back through this thread looking for any reported unaddressed bugs (I really should be tracking this in GitHub). WC2 has some input issues...
