Greek Special Forces B' Company "Naoussa" 2007-200
I hope the Title didnt confuse someone hoping for an update

I downloaded this mod the moment it gone live back in 2002 I think .
I took 2 buses to go to the nearest Internet Cafe (no internet at home back then) and
I waited to download it , burn it on a CD and then took the way home filled with excitment!
I even downloaded the CD case art and printed it.
For me it was a true Wing Commander game...

But now ?

I am trying my best to run my favorite UE in windows 10 or 11 and I am struggling .
No matter what I do it always requires something or something is missing.

Is there any plans or a way to update the mod to work like Standoff for example ?

No plans to be honest - I was still in high school when we made that so it makes me cringe these days. If did try and update it (or standoff) I'd get lost in trying to replace models and voiceovers.

HCl released his source code for the scatter gun and standoff which between them should be most of what is needed
And Quarto released the mission source:

Maybe @Quarto has more files but I don't think I even have a backup from those years anymore. I'll look though. Maybe HCl still has the exe files.

You absolutely shouldn't cringe - I adore Unknown Enemy. Of course it's primitive compared to Standoff, but simply having a full campaign mod for WCSO was amazing, especially with the false starts that so many other fan projects had. The music is fantastic, I loved the gameplay, and as the Scimitar is my favorite fighter, launching from a Bengal-class ship in a Scim to kick Nephilim ass was loads of fun.

Basically an update for the mod to run on windows 10/11 like Secretops does. Not a remake of models.
Tech support to install and run on modern computers

Oh, I've got almost everything for both UE and Standoff - except (probably) for the DLL source code, which was something that only HCl and you ever did anything with. Maybe at some point you sent that to me as well, in which case I'd have it archived, but I have no recollection of it. But as for missions, voiceovers, ships, and other assets, I do have everything.

The trouble is, I don't even remember how half of the tools we used actually worked any more. Some of them were very finicky.

Years ago - probably around a decade - I did at least think about a slightly remastered version. I think I made some small start on it. Time was not on my side, I never even got far enough with it to deem it worthwhile to invite anyone else to join me on the project. I certainly would not have time now. I don't think I ever will - well, maybe when I'm retired in a couple of decades, or something, but by then, the game will be half a century old :D .
