Not likely, no. WC4 is really hard. I can play WC Prophecy on Impossible without many problems, but sometimes go as low as Veteran for WC4. Notice that missiles are your friend and your enemy. They are incredibly powerful in this game.

Personally I cannot understand the least bit why someone would prefer the X-Wing engine over the WC one. Aside from all mission design and fluff around it I found that one really bad for flying. Actually prefer pretty much any other engine over the X-Wing one.

Try pressing ctrl, alt, alt gr and both shift keys at the same time a couple of times. ALT+A is the attack my target shortcut and it sounds like the ALT key got locked software wise. Have the same thing on occastion on my PC.

Absolutely no time on my side at the moment, as I am currently setting up a my new PC system in the very vew spare time I have, sorry.

So it would then take the movie side plots from all cds at random?

Anyone know of a working voice command software for Windows 7 (Ultimate, 64 Bit). Prefferably something that does not rely on the built in Microsoft Speech Recognition. Loved Game Commander 2, but it won't work anymore and I seem to be unable to find anything else.

It also was a quite efficienct copy protection in the days. Relatively few programs could do 'image copies' and a regular copy/xcopy/diskcopy couldn't transfer them.

I've seen toilet paper and salt with "used by" dates. So go figure how serious those dates are...

On the other hand I like what they did when moving XCOM to a space sim genre. Sure, the game was rather bad, but all in all it was a nice idea that could have worked if they had putted a bit more work into it IMO.

Will there ever be other language versions? Any rumours on that?

It is in cinemas in Austria right now. Dunno about the rest of the world.

Anyone seen it? Amongs lots of references to other stuff there is this line in there (translated from memory to English). Can you fly this spaceship? Um - I think so - I played all parts of Wing Commander Ah, that ist the original quote: “Ich kann ein UFO fliegen, ich habe alle Teile von...

It would probably be a hell lot of work to get that code to compile again. Unfortunately todays compilers are not 100% downwards compatible, especially if some sort of suite like Visual C was used.

The shorcuts were a new innovation for WC2, so there are no shortcuts in WC1. Actually I kinda doubt that 'b' works for break and attack - its the first time I heart that.

You could also have used the fiction addon I uploaded some time later once the webpage went defunct: http://www.karl.frank.name/files/fiction2.zip

Yeah, if it ever gets sold off steam I'll probably as well.

Is this Steam only?

Huh? Saltis and Co give -5 to Retro. In fact, i don't see any +Retro in your list?!
