Looks like it. D'oh. Edit: If you do a Google search for pictures, you will find exactly this screenshot. It is the first in-cockpit screenshot. So they just copied it. Direct link: http://www.file-extensions.org/imgs/app-picture/4091/wing-commander-iii.jpg

LeHah: Thanks, I did my best to reply to you AND to contribute to the topic. It's great to see my performance honored by you. I am indeed flattered. Chris: The jacket looks great. Is that part of a tie-in merchandise or is that a crew-jacket? (Or is that jacket self-made as well? It does look...

No, it is not. BTT: I like the Lance-uniform of Tolwyn. But most of all, I would like to see a real-life rendition of the WC1 leather jacket.

Actually, Foobar2000 is a nice Media-Player. It's small and fast. And I believe, that the name is a nerdish reference to foo and bar, the two most common variable-names in programming and not a reference to the military expression fubar. On the other side: I didn't use foobar since... 2003 or...

For all the Apple-Users: You can use Game Music Box for playing these files. And then there is SNESPlayer for the iOS-Devices. I converted the songs to mp3 and updated the ID3-Tags. Anyone know, when the Unknown Tune (42nd) is being played? It should be on the simulator, but when? Here's the...

I have to disagree with you Dundradal. At least in some points. Granted! I can understand the Saga-Team here. Why not contacting gaming magazines or "using" the personal network? Just because it is a fan-modification, it doesn't have to be all DIY. Sure, there are fans, that want to...

The PS3 is a completely different console/architecture. AFAIK it is too complicated for such a small title to convert it for the PS3. And because Arena performed poorly on Xbox, it would be a high risk to invest money to port it for the PS3. Possible, yes, but risky. I can't blame them for not...

Actually, I think, it is an appropriate name, because after all the fighting and merciless, it characterises the Kilrathi as a culture with honor. I always felt as if the Kilrathi were a little bit like the Klingons in ST. They are mean, but they fight with honor. And if someone is just plain...

I would love to see her live, but it's too far :).

Besides all that: Dr House looks great :).

I remember flying the Broadsword for the first time. It was so bulky, I was feeling invincible! I wasn't :(.

Let me quote yourself:

I loved that idea. Personally, I want those cockpits back. While I like the WCP-Cockpits, I was a bit disappointed, that they were only displayed on the Front-Camera. Did anyone see the Cockpits in X2? They were great.

1997? Really? WCP was THAT long ago? Gosh... I think, WCP only copies the most-used data like the InFlight-Speech and so on, so that the CD-loading is just limited to the movies.

I remember getting some CD-Videos on CD3, IIRC. I do believe, that there are some minor Videos missing, so WCP tries to find them on the CD. Perhaps that is the reason why your WCP crashes.

Chernikov: You misunderstand something here. Just because the technical aspect (or better: the engine) was made open-source, it doesn't make the content open-source. No Wing Commander is because of EA. They do not support GOG just yet. Perhaps, because they are planning an own portal or...

Hm, that reminds me of the Secret Ops/Prophecy-Era. Sooo been there, done that ;). I voted for the WC1, or better, the WC2-era. I can imagine some cool Secret Operation/Spy-things going on there. Like double-agents in the mandarins etc.. Could be a cool RPG or Spyshooter.

This should be the one you are searching for. Although there is no female voice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJ-xcgBL1mY

This new generation deserves a new WC-title! Congrats :).

Yay! I wanted to bring PG to a christmas-network-party! Thanks for summing (suming?) things up :)
