    Just wanted to say thanks

Now that is interesting. 3.7.2 should work just fine. When you installed diaspora did you get the 1.1 an 1.1.1 patches as well? It's below the download section. http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=81859.0 At the end of the day those 2 patches include 2 new .vp files...

Try downloading the latest stable executable. 3.7.2 That includes diaspora. All diaspora code eventually made it into the main release. http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=89597.0 Plus there are more graphical features in the current release. There is also a newer version of the...

Be sure you try diaspora, the battle star galactica one. It too uses the FS2O engine, but has 3d cockpits And then post pictures. :)

    Is SWC harder than WC1?

Really? It runs fine on my beige G3. (which is why I find it odd that old powermac is too fast...) I would think limiting the memory would force it to run slow. what happens if you limit it to something like 300k max?

    Is SWC harder than WC1?

the problem with sheep shaver is that there hasn't been centralized development for over a decade. I believe OSX was the original focus. Random people have been doing small fixes here and there, but it's really spotty in a lot of areas. Aside from making sure you are in large window mode...

    Is SWC harder than WC1?

Are you using the windows version? That could be it...The windows version is really finicky relative to the OSX version. I've seen the color corruption though, especially in Basilisk.

    Excuse me brother...

Ive seen so many of Kubrick's other movies too. Dr. Strangelove is my personal favorite. Now that movie has some great lines! "Gentlemen you can't fight in here, this is the war room!"

    Excuse me brother...

Oh i honestly thought you were sending a message to your brother. Boy don't I feel like a moron...Sorry.... I never saw aclockwork orange. It's one of those movies on the list that I never seem to get around to watching... One of many...

    Excuse me brother...

If not a phone call, might I suggest a PM for such communication? For one, it greatly increases the chance he will see it. And another it doesn't clutter up the board with with what is really non-public conversation. The first letter after all stands for "Privacy". I can't speak for...

Tutorial Helps Maximize Your Digital WC3 (October 17, 2015)

In the video, he uses Timbres of Heaven 3.1. For the record, ToH is at 3.3 beta and is the recommended version from Don Allen. (3.2 is also available) http://midkar.com/soundfonts/index.html

Wcdx - Kilrathi Saga for modern Windows

Well in the original dos versions it wasn't for WC1 and 2, but was in WC3 sort of. In wc3 if you just hit arrow, you turn slowly. If you hit shift-arrow, you turn quickly. Apparently they tried to implement that function into WC2KS (but not WC1KS?) with some really strange results. Just...

Wcdx - Kilrathi Saga for modern Windows

Try holding shift. It speeds up movement so it doesn't do a slow ramp up in speed and is instead instantaneously fast. It is annoying as heck, but it is possible...sort of...

Run All Old WC Games in DOSBox Walkthrough

Are you on OSX? GDI I would not recommend as it is a performance hit and wouldn't effect the way MacWine does it's video rendering. Kiltrathi Saga wcdx is the way to go for 1 and 2, though i haven't tried WC3.

Run All Old WC Games in DOSBox Walkthrough

I fear wc4 dvd version doesn't work, at least not on OSX with the way the movies are relayed to quicktime, (quicktime player not supporting the proper codecs) doesn't do it. on Linux however I have heard of some success with Prophecy DVD version, so maybe holds true for WC4. For now though we...

Best Joystick for $40 or less?

Yes but the Thrustmaster HOTAS X (my brother actually had one) you can at least separate the joystick and throttle to either side of the keyboard so the keyboard isn't in the way, or you don't have to move far from your monitor (if you have a giant monitor, that might not matter so much)...
