    WC2+Ultima Underworld, won't install properly

Have you designated your CD drive as "-t cdrom" in Dosbox? You may need to do that to trick the installer in letting you install the data off of that drive onto the C drive.

    WC2+Ultima Underworld, won't install properly

Ahh, if you're using DFend with DosBox, then I know what your issue is. Dosbox defaults 64kb of memory for programs to use. Wing Commander II's program is not expecting this much memory to be availible, so once you reach Gwynedd II, it triggers a memory overflow and the game crashes. You need to...

    WC2+Ultima Underworld, won't install properly

You indeed have a legitimate copy of the game, and if memory serves, it should only be one disk. What sort of error are you getting? Are you attempting to simply install the software via Windows directly or are you using an emulator like Dosbox?

    RSI Raises $10 Million

The pledge tally on the RSI site just passed the $10,000,000 mark about an hour ago. Its awesome to see new people are coming onboard to support the game. The higher I see the number rise, the more optimistic I become about what this game will be able to do.

    New 3D Thread

That's my imagination going - nowhere in the text is that specified. But having the Morningstar's broken up as part of an armistice (in the same way that two countries might agree to reduce their nuclear weapons stockpiles as part of an agreement) does make sense in that regard.

    New 3D Thread

Man that Morningstar blurb is kinda heartbreaking. Confed breaking up the Morningstars makes a lot of sense in my opinion, for two reasons. The obvious reason is that it was a condition of the armistice that the TCN destroy all of its brand new advanced fighters to which the Kilrathi currently...

    New 3D Thread

That Broadsword is a true thing of beauty. Nice and meaty like it was in WC2, ready to absorb hit after hit of Kilrathi flak and still ruin their day with a nice quartet of torpedoes. I actually find your song ironic, as aside from an unfortunate collision between myself and Angel's torpedo on...

    Kerbal Space Program

Sir, I think you may be on to something here. There's gotta be a way to get those images into the game. Then we can go around planting flags everywhere with plaques that say "Long Live the Confederation!"

Old Callsigns with a modern touch

So I just started a new playthru of the Wing Commander games, as I am known to do from time to time. I just finished a fresh Mass Effect playthru - 1 thru 3 with the DLC. Sometimes I like to link my video game universes together if possible. So when I was presented with the option tonight of...

    LucasArts is no more

I would say on the whole you guys are right, but it just reminds me of all the great stuff they used to make in the 90s and early 2000s and makes me a little sad to see the names wink out. Interplay, MicroProse, Origin, Sierra, and now LucasArts. All the publishers that I looked to as a kid are...
