When and How you heard or saw something about WC for the first time?

Indeed, bow down to Monkey Island, my friend! The original(secret of monkey island), though it did not have speech, is still one of my favorite games of all time. And Zak McKracken? Zak McKracken, come on! Beneath a Steel Sky(that was downright awesome). The DIG(That dude from X-Files, Robert...

LOAF: Since you're adding an old mac to your play-every-WC lump of hardware, you should invest in "Quarterstaff: The Tomb of Setmoth" for the mac. It's one of the best games ever: Good visuals with a text-based interface. A true text-adventure masterpiece!

When and How you heard or saw something about WC for the first time?

You just hadn't mentioned them in your post So I assumed the games you mentioned were the games you played. Sorry. To assume is to make an ASS of U and ME. Escape from Rungstan, the Zork Series, Hithiker's Guide, and practically everything that came from Infocom, escpecially Planetfall(I...

How are you keeping your space combat craving satisfied?

Perhaps, if to what you are reffering is not environmental; We've done plenty of damage that we cannot undo and created plenty of problems that we cannot solve on this little green planet of ours. And don't even get me started on the multiple cases of genocide in human history— wiping out a...

    Well sorry everyone....

I found a hunk of rancid meat on ebay for just $260! Yay!

Guys, we should reanimate WC !

If we were to do this, what engine would we use? Prophecy's beginnning to feel a bit outdated(sorry!). If someone were willing to do this, wouldn't it be best to wait for a truly modern enginge to hit the PC? I mean, with bump-mapping and vertex shaders and per-pixel lighting. When a new WC game...

When and How you heard or saw something about WC for the first time?

I was ten, it was '94, and I was away at a residential school in Massachusetts. No windows, just DOS there. The one PC that had a CD-ROM drive and Windows 3.1 had it external. Like LOAF, I lived off of early sierra games--SQ 1,2,3, KQ 1,2,3,4,-- but unlike LOAF, I also existed on a healthy diet...

Excuse me... while I kill the sky!

hehee, sorry, new cordless keyboard... sequential art!:) (I, for one, am not an artsy type)

Excuse me... while I kill the sky!

Here in the US, artsy types call it "Seuential Art."

    Well sorry everyone....

There is a good mac emulator for PCs. It's called Basilisk. Check it out.

Excuse me... while I kill the sky!

I don't have the foggiest idea why, but I thought LOAF was australian! Mpanty: That is so neat! When did you draw that?

Then what did we see in the movie?

To get back to the original question in this post-- The Kilrathi in the movie: I dislike them for many reasons, but there's one reason I like them. They have lips. It always bothered me that the Kilrathi didn't seem to have lips. How could they speak english without lips?

    Well sorry everyone....

I like the word "ninny." As in the statement "Knight is a ninny," or better, in plural, "Knight and Flash are both total ninnies." If one is reffering to a flock of them, they are "ninae," as in "A hord of ninae rushed to get rich in Las Vegas."

But they completed the story. I like a series that begins with a story arc and actually ends it, and that's the end. Zelda the cartoon didn't go flat like it could have: It focused on quality, not quantity. One almost felt as thought they had seen the plot of a game played out, unlike in Mario...

    Titan A.E.

But I see LeHah do that a lot, too. In fact, Frosty vs. LeHah is like some kind of chat version of an intense deathmatch... Intense, fruitless, and wildly entertaining.

    It's Here!

Heehee, I'm just imagining that one-armed army guy on the simpsons trying to sell one of those crosses. Is it functional? I mean, does the blade pop out, or is it fixed?

How are you keeping your space combat craving satisfied?

Yeah, but he's not responsible for whether or not the show is deep-- no more than crappy WC actors are responsible for the coolness that is Wing Commander. LOAF: Do you remember, waaaay back, the original Mario Bros. Show? I mean, with the live-action luigi and mario in the beginning. Every...
