Ahh... that would make sense. I couldn't see any asthetic differences, and there's no sub-title or anything on the splash screen by which to differentiate the two versions...

Of course, I have no basis of comparison, as I've played no other version but the SNES one(which, indeed, paled in comparison).

BTW— Buffy is deep. Angel's deeper, though:)

Re: Re: GAmes besides WC AHHH!!! KS was updated for use in windows. Older WC games were DOS— meaning they very probably won't work. Even WC III, originally, was a DOS-install game. BTW, I still play WC Amiga! I love it.

Now wait... I didn't knock the story. I love the story. I just said I didn't think it was well-written or acted. It was, however, well conceived. The plot itself is one of the more interesting in games. It's the presentation of said plot, the execution of it, that I think could be far better...

I have it! Omigosh! I fished around for my old WC box and stuff, and I have this, err.. "Platinum Edition." It installs the exact same as my friend Evan's "original" WC did, off of 3 DOS disks, HD-Install. It also plays identically. They have different version numbers, though: v. 6.83e(platinum)...

I most certainly(think...) I do. It was the CD32 version of wing commander amiga. I'm also pretty sure it worked on a 1200.

Phew! That's a relief. Now, if I could only find a copy that's priced decently...

I don't know it, so I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. Sorry. However, I will say that the acting in Riven was downright spectacular!

Re: SWC Rant *MUST READ* Wait, wait, wait. I have a Mac. I have WCI for my amiga. I'm considering buying SWC for my mac. But you mentioned an alternate dimension. What? Is it a diiferent story? I was under the impression that it just had newer graphics. Voted for the 'Claw, by the way. It...

I don't think the WC series has the best actors even in video games... Eisen is really good, and not just by video-game standards, but he's an exception, not a rule. The game's script isn't the best, either— in fact, it's so far from naturalistic as to make the script of the WC Movie seem...

Is this official? I mean, did Chris Roberts/EA/Anybody even remotely involved in WC announce it?

I'm in pirates of penzance! I'm the Police Sargent-- due to the fact that I have the lowest voice around(I'm as low as they come... hehe...)

True that, sorry, my mistake:)

Hmmm... and of course, being called gay is the most insulting thing one could ever experience. I mean, we wouldn't want anyone's machismo threatened or anything...

Re: On Dallas Wait-- is this a good thing or a bad thing?:)

Who was the little red guy in He-Man? I used to know(I have all the 80's action figures!) but I forget now. And oh yeah, what was that color-changing tiger called?

Personally, I like to think of it as each to his own. I mean, it takes two to tango. If you don't respond to a flame, people won't continue to flame you. I haven't really been reemed yet, and I'm a reeeeally new guy. I just try not to get angry, is all.

It was Yesterday and Today. The beatles gave a really disturbing cover to it becuase they didn't even really like it's being released. It was compiled of tracks that hadn't made it in the U.S. versions of other albums. For some reason, many US beatles albums didn't have all the songs their...

How was the voice acting in the voice pack of WC2? I've never heard it, sadly.
