Fantastic!!! I just watched both the Wing Commander 3 and 4 ones. Absolutely awesome! Especially the "woohoo" one. The music fitted in perfect with the explosions and action. The Wing Commander 3 had to be my favourite. The music (I'm more of a Trance/Dance type myself so I've never heard that...

Fantastic stuff. I really like the concept art. Especially the Kilrathi. There is definantly a hint of that 'used' 'rugged' look that we saw in the Wing Commander movie. Heck the Dralthi from the film looks almost identical to the concept art peice. Just a question, does more of this concept...

I don't suppose there is going to be translation anytime soon is there? I'd do it myself but I don't speak German. Or more specifically, can anyone tell me what the comment was made about Fredie Prinze Jnr?

It's a bit of a tricky one but easy to answer. The Kilrathi still had forces in the area. They had to hurry and land so the carrier could get moving. I guess 'We're running on fumes' was a quick way to tell them to hurry up or else they'd have trouble landing. They might overshoot or something...

Well over 600 years from now is a very long time. It's quite possible new worlds means new metals etc. They might have discovered an alloy to replace steel. 3 times the strength and only half the mass!

Hmm that might be the problem. Mpg2 decoder thingy was in that patch in the files section. Do I just simply copy that to the Wing Commander 4 directory and that's it? I've also got PowerDVD installed but I never directly opened the game through that. I'll try running the game with PowerDVD...

It's a little like that in Australia here. I was watching a film about US marines called Rules of Engagement. I don't know if that's totally accurate but Tommy Lee Jones and Sam L Jackson had a very colourful patch above their left chest. :)

This is what I did: -Installed the game as usual. -Attempted to run in compatibility mode (which I knew would fail, but I just wanted to make sure there were no variables). -Installed the first patch (which contains the mpeg file and another). I copied both into the directory. -Attempted to...

I've tried everything guys. The Faq, DVD software etc. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it going? Or how I can at least extract the video files and view them off my Hard drive?

Without the 'non dx board' patch and using Windows 95/98 compatibility mode, the game runs. I can't see the movies but I can make choices and play the ingame stuff. However, with the patch, I receive a 'this program cannot run and must be shut down' message and no error is given. Anyone got...

Another valuable pilot to help us fight the on-going war against the cats! Congratulations! 8)

I didn't even know there was a Dynamix game company when I started using this alias.

I had no success with Wing Commander Armada and although I did get Strike Commander running, it stuttered a heck of a lot which was a shame. I noticed a few other games stuttered like this as well.

And even if there is not another Wing Commander game, we can always teach the next bunch of potential pilots, what Wing Commander was.

Here in the Royal Australian Air Force I know pilots must do a 13.5 year service or something like that. Not sure if that's a whole tour of duty (I doubt it is) but you can't leave the service till the end of that. I'm not sure on the numbers for Army and Navy (helicopters only, I don't follow...

I'm having a problem too. I disabled EMS and XMS, however when I type Armada.exe to start the game, it will get to 'initializing XMS' and then it just goes straight back to the command prompt. Does the same thing even with XMS on. I've got no idea what it is.

It's hard to comprehend how big space is. Look at Earth's population now. Now that is one planet in one system. Now look at all the systems in Confederation space (not including the Border Worlds on the frontier). Now if there is just one 'Earth' in each of these systems, that's a lot of people...

Blair was the voice of Merlin?! Never new that at all! I noticed the question mark next to Merlin in the credits, I just figured maybe he was an artificial voice or something. I wonder how Mark Hamil (and the other actors) felt about not being their characters this time around? And on that...

Happy Birthday CIC! Wing Commander lives strong and it's all thanks to this site, it's workers and fans. 8)

He was originally part of an 'identity overlay experiment'. Prince Thrakath had planned for him to defect to the Terran Confederation so he could get deep inside it's secrets. Once this was done, Thrakath removes the fake identity that (through use of a message he sends to the TCS Victory)...
