Thanks man! I needed to hear that :) (Maybe one day Matthew Lillard will come around too?) ;)

This is what I think is kinda sad with the WC movie. There are obviously great fans of the movie out there who are still enjoying the movie (and its actors) and still making these great tributes like the above clip. Yet I get the impression that since the movie wasnt a big hit (mildly speaking)...

A little late perhaps, but here is a video walkthrough of the first mission. And here is the playlist (walkthrough videos) for the whole game .

That being said I wish I had the guts to get one myself..

;)

:D

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I miss the old game boxes. It brightened up my room and later my apartment :) Of course nowadays it's barely even DVD box games anymore. I haven't purchased a physical game since GTA 5, and even then it was not planned.

Well...I cant speak for Kilrathi Saga (KS), and the later patches working with Windows 10...But in general I loved the KS for the improved music and the better graphics. (I never played the first Wing Commander on PC. I played it on the Amiga Computer first). The Commodore Amiga had superior...

I agree with the majority: You cant really go wrong with GoG. I've re-purchased all the WC games including Privateer 1, 2. But! I'm also a big fan of the Kilrathi Saga versions so while I own the GoG original versions I usually play WC1, WC2 on modern patched versions of Kilrathi Saga.

I was both a World of Tanks and World of Warships devotée for a long time. I converted to War Thunder though :)

And now I have a new desktop background. Thanks! :D I'd love to see a pair of Scimitars take on a Ralari. It was a powerful experience the first time I did that mission in Wing Commander.

Love those big old game boxes :D. Gotta ton of them in the attic. I remember being dissappointed when the trend went towards DVD folders but I must admit (today that is) it proved to be darn more practical to store them than the old boxes.

I liked TNG, did not like DS9..I liked Voyager but did not like Enterprise. Maybe the new series will be a "like" going by that logic...

Thats assuming they aren't cancelled before they introduce the yuuzhan vo..I mean aliens!

Like I said I want to be positive..But, I'm afraid the new ST series will take a familiar turn: After slow first seasons they will introduce a new sexy cast member (!) to get those horny teenagers onboard!.. Failing that they might (probably) introduce a huge galactic conflict against a...

I wish I could be positive..But Sci-fi shows are expensive to produce, and unless the show gets 100% of the viewers it gets cancelled :P

I'm reminded of the scene where Catscratch meets Blair and Maniac for the first time... *edit* Sounded harsh, I meant I like the enthusiasm :)

Speaking of Kubrick and his reordering the Clockwork Orange story: He did the same thing with "The Shining" as I understood it. Though it is a great movie nonetheless, the later 1997 mini-series was more true to the book.

I haven't read the book..Guess I'm lazy, or I dont want to ruin the illusion the movie gave me! :) I have read a few pieces containing comparisons of the original and movie versions though. What sticks out in my mind is the book ending...And the underage girl he "picks up" if I remember...
