To see faction status when flying, press shift+m and hit Nav Info. Make sure you are at the lowest map level (otherwise you'll just get a blank screen) - do this by pressing the DOWN button.

Why does mouse sensitivity apparently depend on framerate? I normally have a framerate of around 60fps, but with asteroid fields, this is often reduced to around 20fps. This also results in *significantly* lower mouse sensitivity (even though there is no lag as such, just a lower framerate).

If you give up and just want to get past the mission, someone here posted a very effective solution: Reduce the Demon's max speed *drastically*. (that would be the units spreadsheet). IMHO, the mission is easier on harder levels. They run too much on easy.
