    Confed or Border Worlds

The information I got from the web site in my earlier post said that the Banshee was made FOR the BW by Verier Underground. That's why at the end of my earlier post I stated that I didn't know where these manufacturers were located. They could be located onBW planets or Confed planets. As to...

    What do these mean?

Yeah that came for the movie Full Metal Jacket. The drill instructor said the only two things that come from Texas are steers and queers(no offense LOAF:) ).

    Confed or Border Worlds

As to where the Border Worlds ships are built, I was doing a little surfing and came across a website that lists every ship used in WC. If anyone is interested here it is www.uranium238.com/tce The fighters used by the BW are made in different areas. The Banshee was the only fighter...

    Confed or Border Worlds

I could see that happening. As Confed upgrades to Vampire and Panthers, the BW get the Excaliburs and Thuds. It's probably safe to say that the BW still has some of the Black Lance's Dragons laying around somewhere as well as some Bearcats. Most of these craft are slowly being shuffled away...

    What do these mean?

Duh. SAMs are air defense, so you would want to take them out. As a side note, F-6 Intruders (I think its F-6, memory is a little rusty, could be the F-7) during 'Nam were also tasked with taking out SAM radar sites. Definantly not the best job in the Navy.

    What do these mean?

I just looked in my WCP manual and TARCAP stands for Targeted Combat Air Patrol, in essence flying against a target that threatens your carrier, presumably another capship. Also technically Wild Weasel is air defense suppression. Basically take out a capships air defenses; turrets, fighters...

    I must know....

I don't specifically enjoy the fact that Blair died but if he had to go at least he accopmlisheed his mission in bringing down that last shield tower. As to retiring, he tried that twice. Well at least once for sure, that was when he tried to be a farmer between WC3 & WC4. The second time...

    Border Worlds - Confed (Again!)

I guess I should have stated that it was the WCP gold edition manual, so next time spare me the lecture. Just because I didn't mention that doesn't mean I don't know. I've read the manual cover to cover just for the enjoyment of reading it, so I think I know what I am talking about. :) When...

    I must know....

Napolean and Penguin bring up good points. If the old characters weren't removed in some way it would be relatively boring seeing the same old faces time and again. Hell, if Iceman wasn't killed, his kid could very well be flying as his wingman(unless he retired, provided he was around long...

    Confed or Border Worlds

I wouldn't say that the BW ships are inferior (I think I might have mentioned that in an earlier post, boy do I feel stupid now;)), but the parts and equipment they have aren't exactly top of the line. The BW makes due with second hand stuff sometimes. For instance the stormfire. Not top of...

    Border Worlds - Confed (Again!)

Yes Mekt I know that I am the hero and I have the ability to kick as much alien ass as I want. I've played through WCP and SO about umpteen zillion times.:p I have purposely let the bugs have the upper hand in some of the missions just so I could fly other missions that I normally wouldn't...

    Hakaga?

OK, OK, OK, I've heard enough of your sarcasm I don't need LOAF's. I will concede, point taken.:p
  13. I

    Hakaga?

DUH:D How many times does a carrier have those kinds of emergancies though?
  14. I

    Border Worlds - Confed (Again!)

I didn't know the Tiamat had a Plasma weapon. Where is it? If there were so many fighters and capships with each wormhole, why do the bugs get driven back all the time? If they were so superior you'd think they would show it by beating on Confed a little more. That's true but I'm...

Do you think it was correct that Confed destroyed Kilrah?

Where I come from I'd have to call it "A horse apiece". I suppose there is no right or wrong answer here but it is fun to read what other people have to say about this issue.
  16. I

    Confed or Border Worlds

I'd have to go with the BW. I really love the stormfire cannon and the leech guns. The fighters may have been a bit inferior but they are still awsome ships in a dogfight.
  17. I

    Hakaga?

Y'know the Midway had six bays with which to launch fighters. The Hakaga probably would be capable of launching six fighters at a time. Course the amount of power needed to operate the catapaults simultaneously might put a drain on the ships powerplant. In an emergancy situation six...

    Border Worlds - Confed (Again!)

While the Tiamat was classified as a dreadnought I don't think that it was the pinnalce of their warship capabilities. It may have been the biggest ship but it certainly didn't have the destuctive power of other smaller ships in respect to both weapons and fighter complements. The Midway...

    Border Worlds - Confed (Again!)

I also find the third option plausible. The bugs sent in their RIF fleet, they find the shattered remains of Kilrah and in their broadening survey of the region run into Confed. With the second wormhole in Proxima this idea begins to make even more sense. I would say though that they...

Do you think it was correct that Confed destroyed Kilrah?

It was either us or them. Killing innocent cats on Kilrah is the same as if the Kilrathi fleet had made it to Earth. They would not have hesitated to kill innocent terrans when they began to bombard the planet. They had already demonstrated that eairlier after they declared a false truce...
