Isn't there a way to extract the 3DO cutscene videos? I've seen a couple of people on youtube already play the 3DO version of WC3.

Is the project still alive? Seems like there has been a pretty long radio silence on the website. (Oh, and Owen Davies's youtube channel seems to have been taken down, but luckily all of the update footage is hosted on the site itself. I used to follow his youtube channel for regular updates on...

@ODVS I might want to add that the 3DO footage isn't as "unobtainable" as it once was, and that there are solutions to extracting the video from that version as well (which you mentioned has colored versions of the wingmate/docking transmissions).

@ODVS Seems like your Youtube channel was taken down... That said, any chance both WC3, WC4, and perhaps even WCProphecy cutscenes will get brand new HD remasters? Seems like the technology has come a long way in just a span of a few years. P.S. Also, it would be nice to give us the option to...

I'm having another problem with the recent patch. Although the music and sound have been fixed this time (and Coolsoft VirtualMidi is now working as it should), I've been having trouble with the joystick throttle changing views and have one major bug where the game would start to freeze upon...

Do we still require the DARKFIX.exe to have Windows95 compatiblity on? Seems to run smoothly even without the compatibility mode on. (Still have to do some testing on the joysticks, but the latest patch seems to have fixed midi playback on all modes, although it could be because I've updated to...

The joystick issue mostly happens when going into compatibility mode for older versions of Windows (it shows up around XP compatibility mode). My guess is that the polling rates aren't neutralized or something... Anyways, I find the issue was solved when callibrating my joystick in native mode...

Thanks! darkfix_setup worked wonders! Now I'm able to play the game with sound! btw I'm running this game natively on Win 8.1 native and so far no issues. Running it on 95/98 & ME does make video playback go smoother but them my joystick starts giving me funnyreads as the game will randomly...

I think the Midi Mapper is gone in Windows 8(.1), though I'm going to try to disable the soundfont ot use a third party tool to reselect the midi source back into Microsoft GS Wavetable. Anyways, I tried using a third-party mapper to select the default Microsoft GS Wavetable synth and it still...

Nope. Still didn't work despite changing those two lines. Incidentally, those were also the defaults. But yeah, in case it matters, I do have CoolSoftVirtualMIDISynth installed, but it worked perfectly fine on Wing Commander 3. (Currently using WeedsGM3 soundfont)

I have trouble getting DARKFIX to run on when Windws 95/ Windows 98/ME compatibility mode. The game would play the Origin FMV, but then just freeze after playing that cutscene (if there's a save game, it will go to the menu, but it will refuse to play any other cutscenes or start the flight part...
