It wears the skull of its dead mother on its head. When it becomes lonesome, it is said to cry loudly.

Making the Games: Missing Missiles (November 5, 2008)

Two days ago you saw a beautiful collection of Wing Commander Prophecy's Confederation missiles... but what about the missiles that didn't make it into the game? They're here, too! Check out similar images of the "anti bomber missile", the famous null-g bomblet and the leech:

Thanks to Captain Johnny for both archiving and providing this material!

Where would I go to get more information on these ashamedly left-out weapons?
And the middle one looks like Fun.

Oooh, nice...what was the anti bomber missile supposed to be like, do we (you) know that? Also, I think the zero-g bomblet would have been extremely cool.

I don't know how the two missiles were supposed to work, although I'd wager there are some details in the huge number of Prophecy development docs Billy Cain and Captain Johnny have provided over the years.

The bomblets must have been cut very close to the end of the development cycle, though, as they actually appear one printing of the ICIS Manual (the Pacific region edition). Here's that page: http://wcnews.com/newershots/full/nullgbomblets.jpg

Yeah, I have that version but I didn't know it was the only manual to feature the bombs. Would be nice to read about those weapons' functions.

Just what I needed: they used the anti-bomber missile model for the swarmer image in the ICIS Manual too. Thanks again.

The Null-G missile wouldn't happen to be that "Toilet Paper" missile hidden in the game, would it?
