I'm near the end (replaying for nostagia love) and on the mission Alcor to rescue the scientist from the kilrathi prisson. I get to the end and the shuttle just never launches. I've played it again and again, but seems like a script bug. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I want to just update the save to take me to the next mission. Is there a way to do this. I'd really like to finish the story.

It's been a minute since I used it, but there's WC3SAV. I don't know if you can use it to change what mission you're up to, but worth a try. Almost certainly needs to be run in a DOS or DOSBox environment.

EDIT: Yes this works.

Place it in the same folder as your WC3 savegames, these are

00000001.WSG
00000002.WSG
00000003.WSG

(...etc)

Open the editor in DOSBox (or DOS if you're running a period correct machine)

The editor will ask you which save you want to edit, type in the long number with all the zeroes but do not enter .WSG

So to edit the third save, type 00000003 and hit enter. You'll get all kinds of fun options, but among them, you can choose the mission.

That said there's no shuttle in Alcor, just blow up all the buildings and you're good!
