I said it on Reddit already but I'll say it again here: thank you very much for scanning this! (I've never seen the 3.5" version, I'm not certain it exists!)

This looks great, I'm sorry I haven't been following it until now! We'll get a front page post up soon.

The good: * Lots of small touches that weren't finished for the PC version were in the 3DO one, owing to it being the same team given extra time; so you have things like missing wild lines and music that wasn't there in the PC release * All of the cut newsbriefs and the Hobbes scene are included...

Now we know what the Privateer NPCs have been doing in their spare time! BlueSky user ATMcashpoint recently noticed something interesting while watching a let's play video: some familiar faces! The game in question was German studio Motelsoft's 1995 "Escape from Ragor" and the faces in the...

Here's a message from Wing Commander composer George Oldziey, who has a cool video of the Wing Commander 3 endgame alongside the newly orchestrated version he recorded a few years back. Pretty neat! George has done some truly incredible work orchestrating and recording his Wing Commander work...

This is a reminder that we have another fun #Wingnut movie night planned on Discord this evening! The ongoing theme will be movies that are referenced by Wing Commander in some way. Tonight's film is Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace (1999) and you can find details on why we're watching...

Ever since No Man's Sky, the space game that continues to show up all other modern space games in terms of content and competence, released their corvette-building update there has been a steady dribble of people trying to recreate classic Wing Commander ships. And no one has been more active–or...

Wing Commander III and Prophecy actress Ginger Lynn Allen is selling two sets of her Wing Commander III script pages--the pages she used in the role, with her lines highlighted! Each auction includes an extremely cool signed photograph from the game's funeral scene--which also shows a uniformed...

Yes, it has a bunch of cosmetic changes but I think nothing too significant to the movie. If anyone has the theatrical version (I'm sure there's some effort to preserve it?) it should play just fine with everyone else. The changes are all like... CG Yoda instead of muppet one.

I would say that in both cases the PC version is better than the Playstation one. For Wing Commander III, the Playstation version tries to be as close to as possible to the original and it gets bogged down a bit on that. The big change you might be interested in is that it has the videos that...

Okay Yoda!!

That's a great idea! I just need a few extra hours in my days or to find a great writer to hire for the job :D

Back in the era of hand drawn animation, storyboard artists and animators would refer to model sheets to make sure things were consistent. With each act of each episode boarded and animated separately, that was necessary to keep things looking right: Maverick always looks like Maverick...

Here's a pretty neat video: it's from a segment from a game history YouTube channel named Floppy Deep Dive and it's a very careful uunboxing of a sealed copy of Wing Commander III. It certainly reminds me of Christmas morning 1994! Very cool to see classics like the Warbirds poster and Victory...

This week we're celebrating (just about) 100 weeks of the Wing Commander movie club… and to mark that event, we're watching a movie that had a pretty huge impact on the Wing Commander movie just by its existing alongside it: Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999). Whether you hated Jar...

Do you have about five hours to learn about Ultima Online? Then we've got great news for you! YouTuber Majuular has continued his two-year journey through the Ultima series with a very compelling (and very, very long) look at Ultima Online, the massively multiplayer game that essential kicked...

Super cool! I love seeing the ships people make, we'll get this one in the front page news soon.

Hehe well if Knight scores zero kills you'll get a different line :D

Hah I can just pull 'em out for you: Secret Missions: Valgard 1: "The Ralari is splashed, sir." Secret Missions 2: Firekka 2 1: "Add Knight splashed $L Kilrathi." Corsair 2 1: "The Snakeir wasn't much trouble. It's splashed."

It is occasionally used in some of the Secret Missions 1 and 2 debriefings!
