Long Live the Confederation!
Last month, we posted an update with screenshots of the 'tissue samples' connected by the Nephilim in Wing Commander Prophecy and we asked if anyone could identify the actual microscopy. Well, in an unlikely turn of events, someone did! Two of the images seem to originate in a period "Human Histology" photo CD from a company called Indigo Instruments. The first slide is "Parotid Serous Cells" and the second is "Bronchus Goblet Cells". Huh!
Fascinating! We haven't found the actual photo CD yet (would be great to have these in full resolution!) but we have seen thumbnails of the content which confirm that it's not the origin of all of the Prophecy photos. Maybe there's an even older source! We'll keep looking…
