Hello,
I am making my personal rerun of Wing Commander since I stumbled over the "Wing Loader" Masterpiece.
Now I'm starting Wing Commander 4 and want to hear the movies in english. Since I'm not a native speaker I need subtitles.
I have the remastered movies playing (without subtitles) and I have .srt files.
There is a Movies Section in the wce4_en.ini but without settings for subtitles.
Is there a way to activate the subtitles from the srt files?
I tested successfully hardcoding the subtitles with handbrake, but I have to do it for each of the 279 vob files!?
Maybe someone can give a hint how to make a batch file or another solution to automate the hardcoding.

Hello,
I now converted all .vob files from the wc4_hdpack_5.0_01 with hardcoded subtitles.
The .srt files come from the Wing Commander IV Enhancement Patch from Matt Wells.
Used Handbrake to convert them to mp4 files.
Can I use these files just for me because of the copyright?
Is anyone interested in the hardcoded movies?
 
That's great! You can certainly use them, and I'd be happy to host them on the wcnews server if anyone else wants them.

Otherwise you have to wait until Bandit LOAF will make the files accessible.
