The being said, it probably won't fix the crash but it will give you hd movies support that should be more stable and work with modern windows. I'll take a look at your save game too, see if I can repeat the issue.

I guess it's worth noting that, at the time of writing, I have:
  • Intel Core i5-4690K CPU
  • 16 GB of RAM
  • NVidia GeForce GTX 970 GPU with 4096 MB of VRAM
I don't know if that's really enough, but if it is, I don't see why the game crashes whenever I try to play a mission with a Leviathan.

All right, the new version of the OpenGL patch fixes the positioning of 4:3 videos, but does not fix the Leviathan crash.

I tried installing the new version of WCP Unlimited onto my GOG copy of WCP (installed via Heroic), but the game just asked me to insert CD 3. Aside from that, the MUP seems to come with WCP Unlimited.

Here's a ZIP with a saved game on T'lan Meth 4a; Hopefully, that can help you find the issue.

BTW, if you're interested, you can find the VOD of my recent livestream here. It will get automatically deleted from Twitch in 1 week, but now it's on YouTube.
The crash is being caused by the wild weasel panther. Go to the SHIPS folder and delete/rename PANTHEWW.iff to something else.

Actually, I recall a previous Discord conversation with @DefianceIndustries I provided a fixed version, but I don't think there's been any new packages since. Try this.

Oh and if you do another WCP stream, try the new unlimited with the high def movies. I'd love to see it working elsewhere! The latest B6.1 dll should not give you an Insert CD pop up if you've replaced the Prophecy.exe (unless someone actually uses a CD installed version). Though if you have MUP, replacing the dll only will work.

As promised, now that I have finished my WCP playthrough (started in October 25, we are all so busy), I went ahead and tried the OpenGL-WCP_setup(TEST-MUP)-RELEASE-CANDIDATE.exe on my install. Here is my feedback:

* stuff really looks great 😋, I tested I1 and I6 and had great fun
* I was unaware that this patch upgraded the HUD symbols, which was a wonderful surprise
* capital ships in partciular benefit immensly from this patch, making assulting them much more enjoyable
* some of the new models exhibit strange behavior with regards to the target box (and target display in the cockpit, see screenshot), which is off-centered. I observed this for at least the Squid and the Lamprey.

A simple update of installer this pack would be greatly appreciated, given that it installs an outdated OpenGL patch and breaks the MUP (which was already causing problems, see here). I had to re-update the OpenGL-patch and update the PANTHEWW.IFF-file. No matter if nothing else changes content-wise, that installer-update alone would make things way more user-friendly...

I really like that mod and enjoyed much brings me back to the days when I start pc gaming. 😊WCP was my first big game and that wcpmup brings it back the way I rememered and looks really nice in particular those shell squid medusa like alien nephilim ships 😍

I've been silent on this for many a year, mostly due to the work on WC4 Remaster. However, I'm alive and this isn't dead. Watch this space...

Thanks for this - I'll take a look. Sometimes the off center issue is caused by a borked ColSphr object. I'll add this to the bug list.

@vidi checked the lampray, it's properly centered and the colsphr is based off the origin. I'll dig into the iff file and see if there isn't some translation error.

I swear it is there, I even took a screenshot to prove it (see above). Both the target box around the actual ship along with ITTS, as well as the target view screen in cockpit is affected.
In case the resolution is a factor, I played at 3840x2160, so it is a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio.

I can see it in my own copy, I'm just checking the possible causes. :)

Got it, the Collision sphere is wonky on export. I'll have to manually tweak the IFF files. Thanks! I'll get a patch out with it shortly.
